Le atmosfere sono cupe e dense quanto basta, quasi ossessive nella track n.3 (experiment c-low) e se si chiudono gli occhi ci si immaginano cose sporche, scene di film con pellicola rovinata che salta, dai colori cupi e con pochi toni brillanti ed acidi.

Veramente interessante la scelta stilistica di questo duo chiamato Deflore. Un rock industriale ben strutturato in tutte le sue forme con inserimenti elettronici azzeccatissimi e riff corposi che rendono il sound pieno forte delle varie influenze stoner. Le undici tracce si susseguono nel lettore lasciando l’ascoltatore affascinato dalle atmosfere futuristiche che pervadono ogni singolo brano....

Molta poca italianità per i Deflore, duo formato da Emiliano Di Lodovico e Christian Ceccarelli: questo "Human indu(B)strial" è stato registrato a Roma, ma missato ad Helsinki, in Finlandia, ed in effetti le sonorità sono quelle metal della scena nordica, con massicce componenti dark/industrial. Un progetto che potrebbe tranquillamente trovare una giusta collocazione come trama musicale in qualche film horror stile "Saw", a partire dal libretto, dove immagini inquietanti, scure, seppiate, introducono alle atmosfere del disco. Suoni potenti, rumori di fondo, niente cantato, solo qualche frase isolata, decisamente angosciante.Va comunque sottolineata un'invidiabile qualità nella produzione ed una ricercatezza nelle sonorità e nelle dinamiche, requisiti fondamentali per la natura del progetto che, inutile dirlo, potrebbe risultare piuttosto ostico ai non appassionati.Un buon biglietto da visita che lascia presagire una dimensione live quantomeno deflagrante!

Caro metallaro rozzo: noi due non siamo molto avvezzi all'industrial, e a parte Ministry (che fan storia a sè) e Godflesh, le nostre conoscenze del metallo rumorostico sono abbastanza ridotte.
Non è necessario essere degli esperti però, per capire quanto questo "Human indu[B]strial"
sia un disco di valore, fosse anche per la sola qualità sonora: innegabile il lavoro accurato dei due compositori della band ma anche la firmadi Mika Jussila dei Finnvox Studios(Nightwish, Children of Bodom).
Dovessi descrivertelo in termini comprensibili, ti chiederei di immaginare i Meshuggah che
copulano con i Fear Factory in assenza dei batteristi e dei cantanti, pompando a manetta i bassi e inserendo una dose indicibile di rumori in sostituzione di linee vocali e melodie.
Chiaro no?!
Certo, le parti di chitarra ricordano a tratti qualcosa dei Tool oppure le progressioni degli Isis, ma forse è solo una sensazione personale, perchè in un tale marasma sonoro ciascuno viene colpito dagli elementi a lui più familiari.
Non è certo facile abituarsi all'ascolto, ma quando ti entra nelle vene è altrettanto difficile
liberarsene.

Dieses Werk aus der Industial Metal-Schublade verwöhnt die Konsumentengemeinde mit einer gar nicht so sehr stereotypen Mischung der beiden Genres. Vielmehr findet sich hier eine subtile Technisierung der Alltime-Metallriffs wieder. – Eben nur verpackt in einen Industrial Soundgeflecht. Dazu gibt es (von einigen sprachlichen Eingriffen und Background-Schreien abgesehen) keinen Gesang. Dennoch wirk „Human Indu[b]strial" niemals langweilig. Vielmehr ist dieses Werk mit einer Exotischen Frucht zu vergleichen: Es schmeckt ungewohnt, aber nicht schlecht… Noch zu betonen ist, dass diese Musik sehr beruhigend wirkt. Quasi die harte Mediationsmusik.

Deflore. Un vero funerale. Si muovono a proprio agio su territori industriali e atmosferici in maniera superba. Creano atmosfere lugubri grazie all'ottima padronanza dell'elettronica e nell'uso del sampling.Il disco si sviluppa lungo coordinate plumbee che descrivono città deliranti e assassine. Schizoidi e depravate. Così come fecero anni fa i Godflesh dei quali rimane la necessità di disegnare paesaggi grigi e atmosfere soffocanti.

...Come se i Godflesh incontrassero gli Ufomammut, mentre gli Isis osservano la scena da lontano lanciando occhiate di esaltata approvazione. I Deflore sono un viaggio nel buio più profondo, biglietto di sola andata ovviamente....
Metal, industrial, dub, post-rock, post-core, stoner, doom, gothic, sono solo alcuni degli elementi presenti in questo favoloso platter; impossibile rimanere a bocca asciutta...Se chiudo gli occhi sembra di essere catapultato in quel capolavoro visionario di Fritz Lang chiamato “Metropolis”.
Prima release per la giovane e promettente label Subsound Records ed obiettivo centrato in pieno. I Deflore hanno realmente la capacità di deflorarvi!

Potenzialità superiori alla media, di sicuro, esplicitate nelle accurate ricercatezze sonore e nella capacità di creare groove artificiali che farebbero invidia ad Aphex Twin...Il debutto dei Deflore possiede il concetto stesso di disumanizzazione, nonché il fascino magnetico dell’ineluttabilità del destino. Insomma, un pezzo del futuro più nero che l’umanità possa immaginare.

La perizia con cui il duo opera è sensazionale e anche la produzione fa la sua parte in una proposta che, se così non fosse, perderebbe ogni sfumatura. Per i non amanti del genere non può dirsi un disco di facile presa, tutt’altro, ma dopo qualche ascolto anche coloro che sono distanti anni luce da queste sonorità (come la sottoscritta) ne rimarranno affascinati.

Sonido perfecto, mostrando una poderosa base rítmica con un bajo brutal y unas guitarras potentes, con unos samples bastante elaborados, por encima de las cutrerías manidas cada vez más abundantes por desgracia. Más que de un disco, podría hablarse de banda sonora, ya que la sensación que proporciona este disco es más de eso que de escuchar a una banda. La atmósfera que destila es impresionante, despertando todo tipo de pensamientos y sensaciones durante la escucha. Así que a todos los amantes del género, recomiendo encarecidamente este disco, que como digo tiene una personalidad cuanto menos reseñable, con una cantidad de matices digna de ir siendo redescubierta en cada escucha. A los que no gusten de este género francamente creo que hay grupos más asequibles que este, máxime teniendo en cuenta que para muchos los samples siguen siendo algo insufrible.

L'industrial piú umano deve ancora nascere e ció che abbiamo di piú vicino ad esso e qualcosa dei Mogwai masticato da una catena di smontaggio nel vecchio mattatoio di Roma. Il sound dei Deflore dunque non si discosta molto da queste coordinate ma se lo fa potete star tranquilli che si adopera per far male.

So ist wäre ein Song perfekt zum Beispiel perfekt für einen düsteren Horror Film, ein anderer wiederum würde wie ein Gusseisen in einen dieser Hackerfilme passen. Ich will nicht behaupten, dass Deflore Filmmusik machen, aber in diesem Business könnten die Typen echt was erreichen! Ich muss sagen... in diesem Album, wenn nicht sogar in dieser Band, würden wahrscheinlich viele Genre mitreitende Bands ihren Meister finden. Verdammt gut gelungen! Leute die was neues probieren möchten, oder gar Fans des Genres ist, werden pure Freude an diesem Album haben.

DEFLORE sind trotz aller Brachialität eher eine Schweberband, die Dir wie eine denkende Maschine begegnet. Irgendwo lebendig und doch eiskalt. Für Fans von Elektrorock und - metal sicherlich eine gute Sammlungsergänzung, mir persönlich fehlt etwas. Da greife ich lieber zum 70er Elektrostoff a la TANGERINE DREAM.
